Originally there was a wooden floor or platform with cells and cages below. The Colosseum could hold 45,000 to 50,000 people and they actually filled it with water for mock naval battles.

The Vatican art museum. This is a huge place with quite literally miles of exhibits, a must see when visiting Rome. Just don't plan to eat anywhere nearby as the restaurants are a major ripoff.

The Spanish Steps, Santa Clause is smoking a BIG cigar A fairly typical street in the tourist areas, this is near the Spanish Steps A huge Nativity scene in the center of St Peters Square, Christmas eve. The bells at midnight were memorable. That's all folks, we flew home Christmas Day. Hope you enjoyed the tour.
